Here are a few things that MN Biodanzer's have to say about Biodanza + Facilitator Maria Magdelena:
"The Biodanza experience was a unique reawakening of the spirit, a freeing & finding of the body, and a melting into the ONEness of all the beautiful souls who came to play. As a facilitator, Maria’s gentle, playful heart, her clear direction & interaction, along with the constant sparkling twinkle in her eye, were the perfect invitation for us all to open to the bounty of the gifts at hand." A.Y.
"Attending a biodanza workshop was a joyous experience for me. I felt like a warm, safe, supportive container was created where I could be full of joy and pounce, sad and teary, sexy and flamboyant. I loved the sense of community that developed and all the connections and love between the beings in the workshop. yay biodanza!” L.J.

ABOUT BIODANZA & FACILITATOR MARIA MAGDALENA
What is Biodanza?
Biodanza is a movement based system that integrates music, dance and authentic relationships with self, others, and the world to support health, joy and a sense of being fully alive. These experiences are known as “vivencias”, coined from the Spanish root: vivir (to live).
Vivencias follow the organic movements of life—its biological rhythms, the pulse of the heart, and the impulse to connect with others. The experience is mostly non-verbal, which opens participants’ communication and connection regardless of their socio-cultural background.
No dance experience is necessary.
The Dance of Life: based on anthropological studies of dance and traditional rituals of the celebration of life, Biodanza stimulates community, awakens a consciousness for universal solidarity, helps participants to recover their joy and vitality, and celebrates the sacredness of life.
Biodanza is an invitation to explore life with authentic simplicity and enhance your natural potentials to further your Emotional Health. A deep exposure to Biodanza strengthens your identity and facilitates the expression of healthy emotions.
Maria Magdalena is a trained midwife and a therapist. Based in Montreal, she has facilitated Biodanza for 9 years. Holding Anishinabe Metis blood, she accompanies people in their journey of personal growth through traditional sweatlodges, and various forms of ritual.
For her, spirituality resonates in unison with the beat of the drum and she visits each summer, several indigenous nations of our northern lands where she mixes her voice along with other drum groups. She also dances with the Moon and the Sun. Maria had been offering healing and earth grounding workshops for over 20 years in the Americas and Europe. It is a treat to host this vivacious and empowering woman to teach in our community.
